The remake film Road House starring Jake Gyllenhaal, was a good remake for once. Not many remakes of original films have been having success. I don’t have complaints about this film, except for the obvious pieces of story from the original, with Patrick Swayze, that were left out. It’s hard to acknowledge that the remake is better than the original, but let me tell you, the remake is better, but I do recommend watching the first film if you want to have a good understanding of what the new film’s premise is.
For people who like action, especially MMA and boxing, this movie is for you. There isn’t too much commentary, more action than anything! If you also like secrets, a tiny bit of romance, and prevailing moments, see this film! No matter what kind of movie genres you like, Road House could open up a new door into movie entertainment. That goes for the 1989 film and the 2024 film.
I would have never imagined Conor McGregor being an actor, but he brought out his true craziness and skills in Road House. He’s a pretty good actor to say the least for seeing him having a semi-serious role. Jake Gyllenhaal didn’t disappoint at all either. Both of their performances and choreography when they had their fighting scenes together were incredible.
