It’s that time of year again, Mustangs! The spring musical is right around the corner. This year, the music department is bringing us to Camp Half Blood with The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical in our very own theater!

To all the fans who read the books and were disappointed by the movie: fear not! The musical is much more than just the names of the characters, and keeps much closer to the book’s plot. But plot’s not the only thing the musical has to offer. It’s filled with original bits of comedy and references to the later series.

The music department works hard and will be giving us this production on February 17, 18, and 19, only 11 weeks after auditions! If you’re still not impressed, the musical is 2 hours long with a whopping 22 original songs and an additional 11 instrumental tracks. That’s right, the band is in this too!

If you’re interested in helping but missed auditions don’t worry! Building crew, publicity boosts, and audience members are all still needed! So pencil in your calendars, grab some ambrosia, and get ready for The Lightning Thief!
