The varsity Mustang boys basketball team ended the season with a record of 12 wins and 20 loses. The team accomplished quite a lot throughout the season defeating the tough opponent and rival Oak lawn High School. This intense game ended with the score of 59-57, a well deserved win for our varsity team. Some of our standout players include De’Saunte Tyus who was our leading rebounder and senior captain. We can confidently state that the juniors dominated this season with junior Rasheed Dyson being named MVP in all-conference, and junior Michael Schulte who will be participating in the Advance Three Point shooting competition. Issac Blalock was our leading guard who will be returning for the following season. Lastly, the team hosted a shoe drive called “Share your Souls” to raise awareness for people in need of shoes, which ended up being a great turnout. We’re all looking forward to seeing what the basketball team will accomplish next year!!
