A Toast to Our Veterans
EPCHS school resource officer , Officer Valdez was one of the veterans honored at the breakfast.

Evergreen Park Community High School hosted an annual breakfast for the community’s local veterans on November 8th in the school’s cafeteria. NHS Students were paired up with the invited veterans as they received a special thank you card. A small band provided entertainment as they were arriving and soon after the choir came to serenade the veterans.
The provided opportunity gave the students a chance to interview the veterans about their experience before, during, and after their time of service. Students introduced the veterans at the end of the breakfast. However, those family members who brought a veteran gave a more personal and heartwarming presentation. Overall, it was a lovely ceremony in thanks of the veterans’ service. EP is truly thankful for all they have done to protect and preserve our freedom.
